About this role
We are looking for Biodiversity Net Gain Assessor to join our clients in Dundee. From graduate and consultant level up to principal and associate, Focus Recruitment works with consultancies across Dundee City that are growing their assessment teams.
What you will be doing
- Carry out Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and habitat surveys
- Write Ecological Impact Assessments and mitigation strategies
- Complete Biodiversity Net Gain metric calculations and BNG plans
- Undertake protected species surveys during the survey season
- Advise developers on ecological constraints at an early stage
- Liaise with local authority ecologists and Natural England
What you need
- Consultancy or local authority experience
- Statutory Biodiversity Metric calculations, UKHab habitat survey and condition assessment, BNG plans and HMMPs
- Good written English and report writing
- GIS skills (QGIS or ArcGIS) an advantage
- Right to work in the UK
