About this role

Focus Recruitment is recruiting Building Surveyor for work across Derby and the wider City of Derby area. Our clients are planning, engineering and environmental consultancies, developers and housebuilders who need assessments delivered for planning applications, so demand for building surveyor runs year-round.

What you will be doing

• Carry out asbestos management and refurbishment/demolition surveys
• Take samples safely and record findings accurately
• Produce clear survey reports and registers
• Carry out condition surveys, dilapidations and defect diagnosis
• Prepare specifications and schedules of work
• Build good working relationships with clients and site teams

What you need

• Relevant qualification and surveying experience
• Condition surveys, dilapidations and defect diagnosis, MRICS or working towards, Degree in building surveying
• Clear, accurate report writing
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
