About this role
We have ongoing requirements for a Duty Solicitor in Crewe. Our Cheshire East clients range from long-established high street practices to growing regional firms, and several recruit continuously into this role.
What you will be doing
- Represent clients at the police station and in the Magistrates Court
- Prepare cases and take detailed instructions
- Review and analyse prosecution evidence
- Instruct counsel and experts where required
- Comply with Legal Aid and LAA requirements
- Participate in the duty rota
What you need
- Recent experience in a UK law firm
- Police station accreditation, Duty scheme
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work to deadlines and billing targets
- Right to work in the UK
