About this role
Focus Recruitment places Ecologist with consultancies and developers working in Salisbury and across Wiltshire. Whether you produce reports in-house or lead projects for a client team, we can match you to work that fits your experience and specialism.
What you will be doing
- Survey trees to BS 5837 and prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments
- Produce tree protection plans and method statements
- Assess landscape and visual effects of proposed development
- Prepare reports, figures and visualisations for planning
- Attend site meetings and supervise mitigation works
- Manage your own caseload of projects across the region
What you need
- Consultancy or local authority experience
- Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Ecological Impact Assessment, Protected species survey experience, Natural England survey licence (bats, GCN or dormice) desirable, CIEEM membership
- Good written English and report writing
- GIS skills (QGIS or ArcGIS) an advantage
- Right to work in the UK
