About this role
Focus Recruitment is recruiting Geo-environmental Consultant for work across Bridgend and the wider Devon area. Our clients are planning, engineering and environmental consultancies, developers and housebuilders who need assessments delivered for planning applications, so demand for geo-environmental consultant runs year-round.
What you will be doing
- Write Phase 1 Desk Studies and preliminary risk assessments
- Design and supervise Phase 2 ground investigations
- Interpret soil, gas and groundwater results
- Produce remediation strategies and verification reports
- Liaise with regulators to discharge planning conditions
- Log trial pits and boreholes on site
What you need
- Ground engineering consultancy experience
- Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 site investigations, Contaminated land risk assessment (CLR11 / LCRM), Degree in geology or environmental science
- Good technical writing
- Working towards chartership (CGeol, CEng or CEnv)
- Right to work in the UK
