About this role

Focus Recruitment is recruiting Geotechnical Engineer for work across Lancaster and the wider Lancashire area. Our clients are planning, engineering and environmental consultancies, developers and housebuilders who need assessments delivered for planning applications, so demand for geotechnical engineer runs year-round.

What you will be doing

• Write Phase 1 Desk Studies and preliminary risk assessments
• Design and supervise Phase 2 ground investigations
• Interpret soil, gas and groundwater results
• Produce remediation strategies and verification reports
• Liaise with regulators to discharge planning conditions
• Log trial pits and boreholes on site

What you need

• Relevant degree in geology, civil engineering or environmental science
• Ground investigation design and interpretation, Eurocode 7 foundation and slope design, Degree in civil or geotechnical engineering
• Site experience and a CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
