About this role
We have ongoing requirements for Traffic Engineer covering Nottingham. Development pipelines in City of Nottingham need technical assessments at every stage, from pre-application through to discharge of conditions, and our clients hire traffic engineer on permanent, contract and freelance terms.
What you will be doing
- Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans for planning applications
- Carry out TRICS trip generation and distribution analysis
- Model junction capacity using ARCADY, PICADY and LinSig
- Undertake site visits, parking surveys and accessibility audits
- Liaise with highway authorities on scoping and planning consultations
- Respond to consultee comments and attend technical meetings
What you need
- Transport or highways consultancy experience
- Traffic signal and junction design, LinSig / VISSIM modelling, Traffic Management Act and TSRGD knowledge
- Confident working with local highway authorities
- Ability to manage your own workload
- Right to work in the UK
