About this role
We have ongoing requirements for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment Consultant covering Penzance. Development pipelines in Cornwall need technical assessments at every stage, from pre-application through to discharge of conditions, and our clients hire landscape and visual impact assessment consultant on permanent, contract and freelance terms.
What you will be doing
- Survey trees to BS 5837 and prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments
- Produce tree protection plans and method statements
- Assess landscape and visual effects of proposed development
- Prepare reports, figures and visualisations for planning
- Attend site meetings and supervise mitigation works
- Manage your own caseload of projects across the region
What you need
- Consultancy or local authority experience
- LVIA to GLVIA3, Chartered or working towards CMLI, ZTV and visualisation production
- Good written English and report writing
- GIS skills (QGIS or ArcGIS) an advantage
- Right to work in the UK
