About this role
Focus Recruitment is recruiting Planning Consultant for work across Barrow-in-Furness and the wider Westmorland and Furness area. Our clients are planning, engineering and environmental consultancies, developers and housebuilders who need assessments delivered for planning applications, so demand for planning consultant runs year-round.
What you will be doing
- Manage EIA screening, scoping and Environmental Statement production
- Coordinate technical chapter authors to programme
- Review assessments for consistency and robustness
- Carry out daylight, sunlight and overshadowing assessments
- Advise clients on planning risk and strategy
- Build long-term client relationships
What you need
- Consultancy, developer or local authority planning experience
- Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements, Chartered or working towards MRTPI, Local plan and NPPF knowledge
- Able to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
- Commercially aware and organised
- Right to work in the UK
