About this role
Focus Recruitment is recruiting Heritage Consultant for work across Pontypridd and the wider Rhondda Cynon Taf – Rhondda Cynon Taf area. Our clients are planning, engineering and environmental consultancies, developers and housebuilders who need assessments delivered for planning applications, so demand for heritage consultant runs year-round.
What you will be doing
- Prepare Heritage Statements and Heritage Impact Assessments
- Assess the significance of listed buildings and conservation areas
- Advise on listed building consent and design changes
- Carry out historic research and archive work
- Liaise with conservation officers and Historic England
- Support planning applications and appeals with expert evidence
What you need
- Relevant degree in history, archaeology, architecture or conservation
- Heritage Statements and Heritage Impact Assessments, Listed building and conservation area consent, IHBC membership or working towards
- Strong research and writing skills
- Knowledge of the NPPF heritage policies
- Right to work in the UK
