About this role

We have ongoing requirements for Traffic Engineer covering Weymouth. Development pipelines in Dorset need technical assessments at every stage, from pre-application through to discharge of conditions, and our clients hire traffic engineer on permanent, contract and freelance terms.

What you will be doing

• Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans for planning applications
• Carry out TRICS trip generation and distribution analysis
• Model junction capacity using ARCADY, PICADY and LinSig
• Undertake site visits, parking surveys and accessibility audits
• Liaise with highway authorities on scoping and planning consultations
• Respond to consultee comments and attend technical meetings

What you need

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience
• Traffic signal and junction design, LinSig / VISSIM modelling, Traffic Management Act and TSRGD knowledge
• Good report-writing skills
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Right to work in the UK
