About this role

If you are a Arboricultural Consultant based in or near Greenock, we would like to hear from you. Our Inverclyde clients have a steady flow of planning-led projects and need specialists who can deliver robust, defensible assessments to deadline.

What you will be doing

• Survey trees to BS 5837 and prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments
• Produce tree protection plans and method statements
• Assess landscape and visual effects of proposed development
• Prepare reports, figures and visualisations for planning
• Attend site meetings and supervise mitigation works
• Manage your own caseload of projects across the region

What you need

• Consultancy or local authority experience
• BS 5837 tree surveys and Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Level 4 or above in arboriculture, Tree Preservation Order and conservation area applications
• Good written English and report writing
• GIS skills (QGIS or ArcGIS) an advantage
• Right to work in the UK
