About this role
Focus Recruitment is recruiting Biodiversity Net Gain Assessor for work across Northampton and the wider West Northamptonshire area. Our clients are planning, engineering and environmental consultancies, developers and housebuilders who need assessments delivered for planning applications, so demand for biodiversity net gain assessor runs year-round.
What you will be doing
- Survey trees to BS 5837 and prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments
- Produce tree protection plans and method statements
- Assess landscape and visual effects of proposed development
- Prepare reports, figures and visualisations for planning
- Attend site meetings and supervise mitigation works
- Manage your own caseload of projects across the region
What you need
- Relevant degree in ecology, environmental science or similar
- Statutory Biodiversity Metric calculations, UKHab habitat survey and condition assessment, BNG plans and HMMPs
- Fieldwork experience in all weathers
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
