About this role
Focus Recruitment has live vacancies for Ecologist serving Brighton and nearby towns in The City of Brighton and Hove. Hybrid and site-based options are available, with roles at consultancies, local authorities and developers.
What you will be doing
- Survey trees to BS 5837 and prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments
- Produce tree protection plans and method statements
- Assess landscape and visual effects of proposed development
- Prepare reports, figures and visualisations for planning
- Attend site meetings and supervise mitigation works
- Manage your own caseload of projects across the region
What you need
- Relevant degree in ecology, environmental science or similar
- Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Ecological Impact Assessment, Protected species survey experience, Natural England survey licence (bats, GCN or dormice) desirable, CIEEM membership
- Fieldwork experience in all weathers
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
