About this role
Focus Recruitment is recruiting Planning Consultant for work across Caerphilly and the wider Caerffili – Caerphilly area. Our clients are planning, engineering and environmental consultancies, developers and housebuilders who need assessments delivered for planning applications, so demand for planning consultant runs year-round.
What you will be doing
- Prepare planning applications, Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements
- Coordinate specialist assessments from the consultant team
- Lead pre-application discussions with local planning authorities
- Manage planning appeals and conditions discharge
- Monitor local plans and policy changes
- Present at public consultation events
What you need
- Consultancy, developer or local authority planning experience
- Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements, Chartered or working towards MRTPI, Local plan and NPPF knowledge
- Able to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
- Commercially aware and organised
- Right to work in the UK
