About this role
We are recruiting an experienced Family Law Legal Secretary for clients in Epsom. Focus Recruitment has supplied legal staff across Surrey for years, and many of our placements come through firms returning to us.
What you will be doing
- Manage a caseload of family matters including divorce and finance
- Advise clients sensitively and clearly on their options
- Prepare court documentation and attend hearings where required
- Draft applications, statements and correspondence
- Work within Legal Aid requirements where applicable
- Meet billing and file management standards
What you need
- Relevant experience in a similar role within a UK practice
- Audio typing, Family law experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Well organised with good file management discipline
- Right to work in the UK
