About this role
Focus Recruitment is recruiting Flood Risk Assessment Consultant for work across Stoke-on-Trent and the wider City of Stoke-on-Trent area. Our clients are planning, engineering and environmental consultancies, developers and housebuilders who need assessments delivered for planning applications, so demand for flood risk assessment consultant runs year-round.
What you will be doing
- Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Sequential / Exception Test reports
- Design surface water and foul drainage strategies using SuDS principles
- Run hydraulic and drainage network models
- Consult with the Environment Agency, LLFAs and water companies
- Respond to planning conditions and consultee objections
- Carry out site walkovers and review topographical data
What you need
- Relevant degree in civil engineering, hydrology or geography
- Flood Risk Assessments to the NPPF, Hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller, TUFLOW or HEC-RAS), Environment Agency and LLFA consultation
- Clear technical writing
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Right to work in the UK
