About this role
We have ongoing requirements for Geotechnical Engineer covering Port Talbot. Development pipelines in Castell-nedd Port Talbot – Neath Port Talbot need technical assessments at every stage, from pre-application through to discharge of conditions, and our clients hire geotechnical engineer on permanent, contract and freelance terms.
What you will be doing
- Design foundations, retaining walls and slopes
- Interpret ground investigation data and write Ground Investigation Reports
- Specify and supervise site investigation contractors
- Carry out geotechnical analysis and design to Eurocode 7
- Advise design teams on ground risk
- Check and review junior engineers’ work
What you need
- Relevant degree in geology, civil engineering or environmental science
- Ground investigation design and interpretation, Eurocode 7 foundation and slope design, Degree in civil or geotechnical engineering
- Site experience and a CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
