About this role
We have ongoing requirements for Acoustic Consultant covering Sheffield. Development pipelines in Yorkshire and the Humber need technical assessments at every stage, from pre-application through to discharge of conditions, and our clients hire acoustic consultant on permanent, contract and freelance terms.
What you will be doing
- Carry out noise surveys and Noise Impact Assessments
- Assess plant, commercial and transport noise against BS 4142, BS 8233 and ProPG
- Model noise using CadnaA or SoundPLAN
- Design mitigation and advise on building acoustics
- Respond to environmental health officer comments
- Prepare clear technical reports for planning
What you need
- Environmental consultancy experience
- Noise Impact Assessments (BS 4142, BS 8233, ProPG), IOA Diploma or acoustics degree, CadnaA or SoundPLAN modelling
- Clear technical report writing
- Ability to work to programme
- Right to work in the UK
