About this role
Focus Recruitment places Trainee Solicitors with law firms throughout Cambridge and the wider Cambridgeshire area. Our legal desk works directly with practice managers and partners, so we can tell you what a firm is genuinely like before you interview.
What you will be doing
- Manage your own caseload of matters from instruction to conclusion
- Advise clients clearly on options, risk and costs
- Draft correspondence, documentation and applications
- Liaise with other side, counsel and third parties
- Maintain files to SRA and firm compliance standards
- Meet agreed billing and chargeable hours targets
What you need
- Relevant experience in a similar role within a UK practice
- LPC or SQE, Training contract
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Well organised with good file management discipline
- Right to work in the UK
