Focus Recruitment places Archaeological Consultant with consultancies and developers working in Canterbury and across Kent. Whether you produce reports in-house or lead projects for a client team, we can match you to work that fits your experience and specialism.

What you will be doing

• Produce archaeological Desk-Based Assessments and Written Schemes of Investigation
• Advise clients on archaeological risk and planning conditions
• Monitor fieldwork contractors and review their reporting
• Use HER data, historic mapping and GIS
• Write clear reports to programme
• Build relationships with county archaeologists

What you need

• Relevant degree in history, archaeology, architecture or conservation
• Archaeological Desk-Based Assessments, Written Schemes of Investigation, CIfA membership
• Strong research and writing skills
• Knowledge of the NPPF heritage policies
• Right to work in the UK
