About this role
We recruit Duty Solicitors for practices operating throughout Chatham and Medway. This is a role we fill regularly, so registering puts your details in front of several firms at once.
What you will be doing
- Represent clients at the police station and in the Magistrates Court
- Prepare cases and take detailed instructions
- Review and analyse prosecution evidence
- Instruct counsel and experts where required
- Comply with Legal Aid and LAA requirements
- Participate in the duty rota
What you need
- Relevant experience in a similar role within a UK practice
- Police station accreditation, Duty scheme
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Well organised with good file management discipline
- Right to work in the UK
