About this role
We are recruiting an experienced Criminal Solicitor for clients in Rotherham. Focus Recruitment has supplied legal staff across Yorkshire and the Humber for years, and many of our placements come through firms returning to us.
What you will be doing
- Represent clients at the police station and in the Magistrates Court
- Prepare cases and take detailed instructions
- Review and analyse prosecution evidence
- Instruct counsel and experts where required
- Comply with Legal Aid and LAA requirements
- Participate in the duty rota
What you need
- Relevant experience in a similar role within a UK practice
- SRA admitted, Duty solicitor status desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Well organised with good file management discipline
- Right to work in the UK
