About this role
We have ongoing requirements for Flood Risk Assessment Consultant covering Cwmbran. Development pipelines in Torfaen – Torfaen need technical assessments at every stage, from pre-application through to discharge of conditions, and our clients hire flood risk assessment consultant on permanent, contract and freelance terms.
What you will be doing
- Produce drainage layouts, calculations and maintenance plans
- Deliver Section 104 and Section 106 sewer submissions
- Assess fluvial, pluvial and groundwater flood risk
- Coordinate with civil, highways and landscape colleagues
- Check work against national standards and local guidance
- Manage small projects and client communication
What you need
- Relevant degree in civil engineering, hydrology or geography
- Flood Risk Assessments to the NPPF, Hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller, TUFLOW or HEC-RAS), Environment Agency and LLFA consultation
- Clear technical writing
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Right to work in the UK
