About this role

We are looking for Heritage Consultant to join our clients in Lowestoft. From graduate and consultant level up to principal and associate, Focus Recruitment works with consultancies across Suffolk that are growing their assessment teams.

What you will be doing

• Produce archaeological Desk-Based Assessments and Written Schemes of Investigation
• Advise clients on archaeological risk and planning conditions
• Monitor fieldwork contractors and review their reporting
• Use HER data, historic mapping and GIS
• Write clear reports to programme
• Build relationships with county archaeologists

What you need

• Relevant degree in history, archaeology, architecture or conservation
• Heritage Statements and Heritage Impact Assessments, Listed building and conservation area consent, IHBC membership or working towards
• Strong research and writing skills
• Knowledge of the NPPF heritage policies
• Right to work in the UK
